Dennis Doyle named to Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame

January 07, 2011

Midwest Real Estate News has inducted Dennis Doyle, Executive Chairman of Welsh Property Trust, LLC (“Welsh”), into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.

The first-ever Hall of Fame issue, which highlights the careers of the most accomplished commercial real estate professionals in the Midwest, was published in December. Sixty inductees from 11 Midwest states were selected in the categories of developer/owner, brokerage, property management, and law.

Doyle was chosen “for the many contributions he’s made to the field of commercial real estate,” but more importantly, because he has given back immensely to his community.

Doyle and wife Megan founded Hope for the City, a privately funded, 501(c)3 relief organization, to fight poverty, hunger and disease by utilizing corporate surplus, in 2000. To date, the organization has distributed $450 million worth of goods to non-profit organizations serving those in need.

Doyle entered the commercial real estate industry in 1977, as co-founder of Welsh Construction. Since that time, he has transformed the small development and construction firm into the full-service company it is today, now operating as Welsh Property Trust. Under his leadership, the company has consistently been recognized as a top place to work in the Twin Cities.

In 2007, Doyle received Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and in 2010 was named the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Best in Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree.
