Healthcare, Multifamily, Non-profit, Senior Housing
As part of their long-term strategic planning process, Bethesda Health & Housing committed to replacing their Heritage Center skilled nursing campus and integrating it into their Pleasant View campus. Welsh Construction is currently working on a major project to add four new additions to Bethesda’s Pleasant View senior living campus. As a unified campus, Bethesda will be able to provide a full continuum of care that encourages active lifestyles and community connectivity. This USDA-funded project will result in improved quality of life for residents and significantly enhance operational efficiency.
Together with Horty Elving Architects, Welsh met regularly to work through the design and construction document phases with Bethesda leadership, staff, residents, and their families. Welsh helped Bethesda evaluate their “wish list” for the project, and prioritize and value engineer to match their goals to their budget.
Construction began in fall 2014, and is expected to be completed in May 2016. Once completed, the 125 residents of Heritage Center will move to their new homes at the Pleasant View campus.
