The Welsh Construction team has performed very well for ASI once again on Heirloom Courts Apartments in Hudson, Wisconsin. Rest assured, Welsh Construction has pole position for any ASI development projects in the future and I would highly recommend Welsh Construction Services to anyone.

Project Summary

Heirloom Courts Apartments is a 3-story, senior housing facility with 32 units of independent, affordable housing. Common spaces include a community room, media room, library, coin-operated laundry, and office.

Walls and windows facing the freeway have an acoustically enhanced exterior, creating a peaceful environment for residents. The property also includes a “sleeping elevator”. This Kone Eccospace elevator has green benefits, including increased speed, no odors, and no oil use. A low-usage sensor turns off all ancillary devices, which can account for up to 70% of energy usage. $40,000 of cost savings are expected from using this type of elevator.

The HUD Section 202 Program, HUD DPG Program, Otto Bremer Foundation, Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), and the Wisconsin Department of Housing and Community Development contributed to the support of this affordable senior housing project.
