St. Paul, MN
“Sprechen sie deutsche?” Even if you don’t speak German, it’s easy to understand the excitement behind Twin Cities German Immersion School’s new charter school facility in St. Paul.
With the help of Eric Rapp of Colliers International, the school recently secured the former Church of St. Andrew site in the Como Park area of St. Paul. Before they could call their new location home, several updates were made to the site: a 3 story existing building was renovated for use as classroom and administrative space; a 2 story rectory was demolished; a former church sanctuary was redeveloped as a cafeteria, gym, auditorium, and ancillary classroom space; and a new addition was built to connect the two existing buildings.
The charter school facility now occupies a total of 60,580 square feet. The building was occupied for classes at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.
