Welsh has been named one of the Top Workplaces in the Twin Cities metro area by the Star Tribune. Results are based on a third-party employee survey.
Welsh ranked No. 15 in the midsize category. Of the 100 companies on the list, 20 are large companies, 35 are midsize and 45 are small. Complete results can be found in the Sunday, June 20 edition of the Star Tribune or online at www.StarTribune.com/topworkplaces.
Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in the Twin Cities metro based on employee opinions relating to the company’s leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation and benefits. The analysis included responses from over 33,000 employees at Minnesota public, private and non-profit organizations.
Final rankings of Top Workplaces are based on the survey information that was collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent research company that specializes in employee engagement and retention.
Star Tribune Publisher Michael J. Klingensmith said, “I congratulate each of the companies in the Star Tribune Top Workplaces on their outstanding accomplishment. They have succeeded in creating a positive workplace for their employees during very challenging economic times.”
In 2009 Welsh was named to the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s ‘Best Place to Work’ list, placing No. 1 in the medium-sized company category. The company was also named among the ‘Best of the Best’ by Midwest Real Estate News and has received three consecutive Wellness by Design Worksite Awards from Hennepin County for promoting and fostering a worksite culture that supports employee health and well-being.
To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in the Twin Cities metro area. Over 1,000 companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
